Hey Jeff this is getting funny,

I'm not sure if you got my email from the other day...but in it it says that Dave Holiday sent me your way, then Robin from Earthknack gave me your contact info when I told her I'm from LI and I wouldn't be interning with her this year...

THEN I find you here when I'm looking through my only friend's friends! I just found this website like yesterday...

anyway, how are you?

Thanks, Jeff. I'll take a peek at the Maps group. How are the book sales going. Have you posted anything about it on this site? Stay well!

That's a great idea Jeff. I'll start a new discussion called "Trade Blanket". I'm glad you like the site. Once the Worcester Expo is over, I'm going to get the MPSSer's to be more active on here. I'm happy to see it growing and people sharing. That's awesome. Do you have any tutorials or videos? You're welcome to add them here and a link to your website if you have one!

Jeff, Welcome to our group. I wanted to let you know that just missed you leaving the gathering. I had a bowl of super spicy habaneros for you but when I went to find you, you were gone. :( Sorry about that.

Hope you've had more of that strawberry rhubarb pie, I haven't perfected my version of it yet but Mark and I have perfected a mean wild berry rhubarb crisp. And By the way, I can't stop dreaming about black walnut syrup. I keep reminding Mark that we need to tap some trees this spring. I don't care how far we have to hike to do it. That was a lovely taste experience, I appreciate you sharing.

I hope you share some of your expertise with us. Please post links to your books so we can find them.

I'm at Johnny's seeds for a while. Heirloom tomatoes are big. I can get seeds for older packets of seeds with less then the high germination rate that is the standard, and plan on starting an heirloom tomato garden. Anyone else interested?

A lot of hard core no necked nugs gave Dakota grief for this one because it wasn't "survival", but it is a great way to share skills. Dakota has a sever form of dyslexia, he can't read, coupled with tourrette's syndrom. We have had to find creative…

It does. Remember that the tannic acid actually curdles the protiens i the skin, including internally. This creates the astringency, and also produces a biological "band aid" of a layer of your own tanned hide. I used tannic acid wash from Oak galls…

Wet wood ash, used as a paste and rinsed qickly to avoid chemical burns (prolonged direct contact over a minute) is a great way to remove pitch and other hard to get off yer skin adherents.
