- So I ran into a friend from my ethnobotany class the other day who had gotten in touch with you, and I said "Hey, I heard you caught up with my herbalist?" and he snorted and said " Youuuurrrrr herbalist? You mean Arthur Haines , the most famous botanist in the state, who compiled 'Flora of Maine'?" I kid you not. That is a direct quote. I was so surprised I think all I said was something like "yeah... arthur haines...." and then trailed off. Anyway, if you could autograph some artist's conch with black walnut hull ink or something, I think he might be pee his pants a little with excitement. Hope you are doing well.
