I went to the Algonquin Archers New England Primitive Skills gathering and it was a lot of fun. Low key and social. Got to meet (and eat!) with some delightful New England Abos; some i knew and some I just met. Lots of good skills demonstrated by people who were doing their own cool projects. I'd go again next year if i can schedule it.

Jeff, I was there last year. It was A LOT of fun. There were workshops run by some of the amazing people from the Maine Primitive skills school. It you have something primitive to work on, bring it. There were primtive tools, bows, etc... to purchase, there is a kitchen on the site so hot food was available to buy if you wanted to. Bring a tent to stay in.
The club phone # is listed here. http://www.algonquinarchers.com/page3.php

Jeff, the gathering is held by Algonquin Archers. I don't know everything that happens here but below is the blurb from their website - http://www.algonquinarchers.com/page5.php. If your going let me know and I'll send Mark up with some goodies for you.

I'll be going to the MAPS (Mid-Atlantic Primitive Skills) Meet May 22-25 in Conowingo, MD to teach workshops. There is still room to register for this fun, workshop-packed reasonably priced event. They have great food, sweet people and lots of fun features.

I'm at Johnny's seeds for a while. Heirloom tomatoes are big. I can get seeds for older packets of seeds with less then the high germination rate that is the standard, and plan on starting an heirloom tomato garden. Anyone else interested?
